FragmentGENEs are double-stranded linear DNA fragments 100 - 3,000 bp in length. Each is a non-clonal population verified by Sanger sequencing. The fragments are delivered in a lyophilized format that can be easily resuspended, cloned, and screened for a variety of downstream applications.

Azenta recommends screening of 2-3 colonies to ensure identification of the correct sequence post-cloning. Although 2 colonies are sufficient in most cases, 3 colonies may be required for some complex sequences to ensure identification of a correct clone in the first round of screening.
